ABSTRACT

The Euteliid moth, Chlumetia transversa (Walker, 1863),is a specialised lepidopteran known for its association with Anacardiaceae. While its presence is documented across the Indo-Australian tropics, detailedlocality records within the southern Indian states remain fragmented. Thisreport documents a new distributional record of C. transversa fromKerala. Understanding the distribution of this species is critical forpredicting pest outbreaks in mango plantations. This record contributes to thebiogeographical database of Indian Euteliidae and underscores the necessity ofcontinuous faunal monitoring in varied ecological niches.
